Get a Head Start with a First Investors Internship

The competition for jobs these days is fierce, and even with a college degree, it can be difficult to find a job after graduation. You need an edge — a head start — that can give you an advantage over your peers, and one way to get that is through an internship with First Investors.

Jump Start Your Career

An internship with us means that your talents will be put to good use while you are getting a leg up on the competition. Why should you wait until graduation to begin realizing your potential? As a First Investors intern, you will learn skills that can help you jump start a career in financial services. Even if you decide not to enter the financial services industry, you will still gain real-world skills and tangible, professional experience that will enhance your résumé and make you more attractive to employers.

More Than A Job

A classroom education is an essential component to developing your potential. But only one thing can help you fulfill it, and that's hands-on experience. First Investors gives you that opportunity. Even if you have no previous financial services experience, we'll help you develop a “big picture” understanding of this dynamic, fast-paced industry. Our interns often work one-on-one with a representative or manager, getting individualized training that gives them the chance to fully develop their skills.

Choose Your Path

First Investors Internships present a wide range of experiences that are well suited to college students of almost every major or course of study. In general, our internships are 13-week programs offered throughout the year. The Internship Program offers three distinct tracks: Financial Services, Recruiting, and Management.

Get “Real World” Experience

Our program isn't limited to summers and holiday breaks. Interns may stay on until graduation, at which point they may also have an excellent opportunity to join the First Investors team as a full-time representative. Either way, you'll have valuable “real world” experience long before the commencement band breaks into “Pomp and Circumstance.”
